May 6 we will be OTMX guests at Cahuilla, both clubs worked well together at Glen Helen. Also gave some members the  opportunity to race 4 motos with both clubs.  As for the event, Cahuilla offer a great facility, good location, and challenging tracks designs for all levels. The board is hoping that the membership take advanged of this one time race there this year and maybe adding this track in next year if it shows a good OTHG attendance.

Gates open at 6:30am
Sign ups at 7am
Practice 8:30am
Racing after practice

Camping is $10 and the gates will be open till 5pm Saturday
Saturday Practice is from 9-3pm $30 per rider

Hey guys,

Since the Main track there is extremely bitchin', is there a possibility of us hosting it and running the Main rather than the Vet track next year?

I think that would be a great idea, especiially since that is another "True Motocross" outdoors-style track, much like GH, Hangtown, etc with elevation changes and a lengthy, open layout.

It's just an idea.....Any thoughts?

I'd second the idea of the main track if we get our own deal with it next year. There's no "do or die" obstacles on it. Very natural, just fast in some spots.

I asked before why not the main track at Cahuilla, and was told that it is much too expensive, especially because of low turnout (too far for some people).

Maybe as a single club that may be true, but I'm asking for us to lead the charge, split the track fees, and book it on the main track instead. That's different from just renting it ourselves. So, it could be a possibility if there's interest.....

"ROCKET Rex" Staten was on the Vet Track last Saturday, on a mid 70's CZ.  Fun watching him rail the corners and jump the step up with 4 inches of suspension.  He can hardly walk but he can still ride.
