When you lube your linkage there is one more place you do not want to forget to put a coating of grease on and that is the back of the engine case where the swing arm bolt passes through. That area is ripe for corrosion as dissimilar metals don’t play well together. In this case there is an aluminum case, a steel bolt and two steel bushings that have to get along.
