Sierra National Follow Up, Thank You's, and Trophy Update

Hello Gang,

I know this is a little late, but I wanted to take a minute and throw some shout outs to some special people.  I also wanted to give you some info on the trophy situation and scoring from the national.  First of all if I forget someone please forgive me!  It has been a long few months….

Thank you to all of our wonderful sponsors!  This year our raffle was off the charts!  We gave away over 30K in prizes, certificates, and swag!  Dave and Coleen worked so hard for all of us and it paid off!  Thank you to them and the awesome sponsors!  Please remember to support those that support us!

The individuals listed below are our awesome 2016 board, club advisors, and volunteers who worked tirelessly so we all could enjoy a great weekend!  Please make sure to show your gratitude next time you see them walking around.  Some of these great people were at it for months and some stepped up at the event and lent a helping hand!  Whatever their roll, it is all greatly appreciated and we as a club set the bar high for the rest of the OTHG community.  Please join me in thanking Jason Augustson, Mike Thomas, Todd Sauls, Sean Donahue, Brent Workman, Jason Rogers, Linda Thomas, Dave Mozingo, Coleen Dwyer, Robert Haaverson, Steve Law, Jerry Workman, Chris – Jenny – Curtis - & Amy Weathersbee, Tammy Horner, Dan Dickinson, Jenna, G, and the others that helped out.  Also, thank you Gary for handling the announcing during the motos!  You are an animal on that mic!

Thank you to all the vendors who dealt with the weather and came out to ensure we were taken care of at the event.  Lamson Racing, Hyper X, TCR, 707 Suspension, Parts in the Pits, Mad Photos, Boykin Suspension, FTM, and the others!  Your time and help doesn’t go unnoticed. 

A huge shout out to the Boy Scouts for an awesome meal and thank you Steve and Ellen Law for running this through for us.  Thank you to Todd Sauls and Willey Printing for the awesome program and T-Shirt artwork!  Neil Romero from Screen Printing Done Right for the great shirts and excellent service.  Mike Petrunt from AW Manufacturing, dude you are a ROCKSTAR!  The trophies were off the charts amazing!  You set the bar so high!!!!  Thank you sir for your continued support and help in making this event so great!     

REP Racing… Can’t say enough about this awesome team!  They pulled out all the stops for us and we were treated to a grand event!  Thank you for taking us in and treating us so well!  Their hard work and effort ensured we were able to run all 3 days and took care of our every need!  Thank you from each and every one of us.

Well…. Every once in a while we run into a few hiccups.  This year we had one with the overall scoring and trophy distribution.  This is on me and should no way reflect REP or anyone else.  The overall scores were tallied wrong on some of the classes and the incorrect information and trophies were passed out to a few people.  If you received the wrong trophy please PM me and we will get it taken care of (You can check the results under race results).  I’m sure you know this, but we will need these back.  If you live outside the area please give to one of your board members making the trek to Fernley and we can swap out or if you plan to hit up Fernley yourself, then just come find me and we can swap out as well.  Sorry for the inconvenience! 

In closing I would be remiss if I didn’t thank each and every one of the riders, family members, and friends who made it out to this event.  I hope you had a great time and we are greatly appreciative of your support!  This year we surpassed the 380 rider count and our spectator count was off the charts as well!  If you have any questions or need anything fixed, refunded, etc from this event please don’t hesitate to let me know.
