Mechanic Monday ...Tip of the week.
Where to put it?  Probably not the question to ask your wise cracking friends.
When your at the track working on your bike where do you put your parts and tools so they don't get dirt sticking to them?
This weeks tip has a few suggestions and I hope to see a bunch of good ideas on this subject in the comments from all of you. Lets try 10 ideas to start.
1. For MX bikes a removed axle can be stored in the end of the muffler.
2. A roll of paper towels will slide over a handlebar grip.
3. Hardware can go into a kids beach bucket and hung on a foot peg.
4. I have changed fork seals at the track by laying a large plastic bag across a pick up truck tailgate to keep the insides as clean as possible.
5. There is a tray that the shops sell that will straddle the seat to place tools and parts in.
6. Waste fluids can go into a twist cap beverage bottle, be sure to label it with the toxic contents.
7. Simply putting the hardware back into the hole it came out of after the part has been removed.
8. If you keep a bucket to change flats on it can double as a clean place to put things into.
9. Tailgates and trailer fenders are a good option for track side repairs.
And
#10 get your significant other to hold them.

I have used the small magnetic trays to hold the hardware
