Mechanic Monday... Tip of the week.
Can you still lift your traveling track side tool box? If you can then there is room for a couple more tools. The majority of the bolts on your bike, perhaps close to 80% of them are of only 2 different thread sizes. To repair minor thread damage at the track adding just 2 taps and dies and a thread file won't add much more weight to your travel box. Yes it is nice to have an entire tap and die set and an helicoil set for every size at the track, but the option to fix most of the minor thread damage specifically the first few starting threads on most bolts or nuts you can get by with a 6X1.0 and an 8X1.25 MM tap and die. Add a metric thread file to that and you should be able to take care of many track side issues.
And heli-coils. For those who don't understand torque specs.
