Your owners manual says inspect this or inspect that. Well here is a modern dilemma that we all share.  TV, yes TV.  How is TV and inspecting my bike so it is ready for a race weekend  related? I'm glad you asked. TV has trained our brains to only focus on an item or scene for about 4 to 7 seconds. It is easy to over look a crack or damage when we simply don't focus at the level your bike wants you to look at it. How to combat that? Well you could spend a fortune on an X-ray  machine or you can simply pick up a rag. And hand wipe the section you are supposed to inspect. Your eyes will follow your hand as you wipe it around your bike and you will then see that worn out chain guide or that crack or that loose bolt. While the rag may not be as entertaining as the TV if it keeps you ready for the next race the rag just might win  you a Golden Globe award over some Hollywood type.
