Yes, and the physical and mental sensations of riding a modern MX motorcycle are very similar to what I experienced in the mighty Crusader over Viet Nam many years ago. But my instructor Phil Wood and his peers never raced dirt bikes. A small group of us got started at Carlsbad raceway with Stu Peters in 1970 and I have been racing ever since. Everyone who races with the OTHG would be a great fighter pilot.

As a senior of high school I dreamed of being a fighter pilot ... except my eyes had other plans! In my early 20's I had a college school work project near El Centro / Salton Sea area in Februrary/March of that year. I got to the see the Blue Angels practice every day for two months! I still get a rush whenever I see a fighter jet in action especially when they are close - like when we were at AV earlier this year and the air show was going on!

I cringe when I see these war birds, knowing they are made to kill and destroy people, cities and countries.

It's why I always faced an uphill battle trying to keep the forum open to all. Sad but true.

Totally sorry Ben, why someone had to post a 45 min video of pilots killing each other is my tipping point, the people in those planes have families.
