Phil,  the upcoming national will be my first OTHG event that requires any travel.  I booked a room at best western for $60 a night (two queens).  Food I'm going low budget, but I'll tell you those So. Cal. OTMX potluck spreads at their internationals are legendary and if any of the G's going want to set a potluck lets hook that up and set up a large camp for everybody to pit out of.  8)

Phil the biggest cost is fuel carpooling is the best way to reduce cost and sharing the cost of food ad camping out instead of getting a hotel I don't see any other way to reduce cost see you at Fernley looks like the only race I can make this year do to my work have fun

Dismantle your bike and stick it in a small car, to save gas.

Get three or four guys and one trailer or motorhome and split the cost. This worked great for me when I was racing. I couldn't have done it with out the help of others. Thanks to all the guys that shared the Cosaert rig for a few years, some great times and memory's.

Pre pay,,,and do the support race!Which will get your cost per lap down after you figure your fuel costs to get there and camping costs and wear on your old truck.
Or do not do support and go bare bones.
---------
Buy raffle tickets .Give 'em to someone else to hold .Walk away. Come back and theres a good chance you'd a won while you were gone.(Works for Blake) .

--------------
Share the ride in a friends RV.
Camp Outside if you snore .

---------------

Always post your intentions on this message board to share and there's a good chance someone's on the fence about going...that might just get a carpool going. For this reason, I think the message board is most helpful.

-----------

For Fernley and Washougal.
the Reno flight is inexpensive.
In the past riders have flown there and then another member will pick them up at the close by airport.

Get a cheap ass hotel room in Merced.  Merced is about 19-20 miles from track which is nothing.  Load up a little 4 cyllinder truck that will give you 300 miles for 13.5 gallons of gas.  Travel light.  😉 😀

Dave, I have room to take another rider with my trailer.  I wasn't planning to get a hotel this year, but if you're a quiet sleeper that may work.  PM me with your phone number and we can chat about truckpooling to the race.
