I was thinking of picking up a big bore kit for my bike (yz 250).  I was wondering if anyone knew what characteristics, if any, would change.  I'm looking at the Athena kit that comes with a new cylinder so I could keep my stock setup as well.  Any information would be helpful.  Thanks.

I used to have a KX250 with a Wiseco big bore kit (300cc). I loved it, basically more power than a 250 but with much more rideability than a 500. It was a real holeshot machine.

Completely against it. It will reck the power band. That engine is designed to rev

I have heard of the big bore kits causing vibration issues. and then there is the added stress to the lower end for really not that much more power. spend the money on suspension and that will make you faster 🙂

or just be lazy like me and ride a 450 haha
