We need to finalize the points for 2011 this week so check to see if your points are correct.

This is current up to before the last race. All Points except for Dec. 4th Starwest

Thanks Ray, that is just the type of info Danzo needs. Easy to forget when you get our ages.  😮

The South made a rule for 2011 season, if you paid, showed up at track and registered, but did not take gate you would still recieve last place points. You basically missed the gate meaning a DNS. So again, you got points, but DID NOT race.

This is the rule they used for getting points with out racing. My point was this was for "mechanically disabled " nothing about injury. I dont think any Sierra member was given point under this rule??? I could be wrong ..... wont be the first or last time

DNF’s, DNR’S, & BIKE CHANGES (For South National): O.T.H.G.A. members participating in a sanctioned National event who are mechanically disabled will be counted in the number of lap totals. If a rider fails to check-in with the starter and misses his race completely he will be considered a "No Show" and will receive 99 points for that moto. If a rider checks-in but does not start a race, or starts but is unable to cross the finish line for the first lap, then he/she shall receive a DNS. A DNS is worth last place + 2 moto points (where last place is defined as the number of riders that signed up in that class, not just the number of riders who raced that moto). Riders who are able to complete at least one lap but fail to finish the entire race shall receive a DNF. A DNF is worth last place + 2 moto points. Club members are permitted to change bikes after a moto if they have mechanical problems. If your bike becomes disabled during a moto you may not get another bike and continue the race.

So my question is At the Feb 27 Glen Helen mudder I signed up paid and didn't race. And I didn't ask for a refund  do I get points under this rule? just wondering.

No Chuck, that rule was referenced out of context:

Basically this rule only applied to the South National and furthermore you would have had to check-in with the starter down on the line...simply paying to race would not have been enough.

For next years nationals, this rule in is subject to change with the 2012 Board and the national rules committee.

Thanks Jeff that's what I thought, seems they read them wrong 😉 Just to point out I wasn't challenging my year end finish, just looking to clarify. Thanks again.
