I hope this is ok to do this. dont want to be steppin on any toes here. Glen helen is having a gran prix dec 10, saturday. there will be senoir race at 9am. sight lap at 8am. cost is 40 bucks per entry including transponder. we, socal otmx will have our own line if enough of us show up. I asked hey how bout othg? answer, no problem. so if enough of you show up, you guys get your own line too. all moneys go to glen helen. just a thought. lori asked me to post this on your website. all made possible from mark moore.
and a shameless plug here, if you still dont get enough racing that weekend, socal otmx will be at rem sunday dec 11.

That would be cool, as fun as our GP was it would be fun to race the Shoe one last time. And I'll try to redeem my free race with the So Cal dudes at REM. Bahahaha I'm so funny 😛 You know I'll be there :-*

YAMAHA PRO/AM MX CHAMPIONSHIPS DECEMBER 10-11, 2011
Friday December 9, 2011 - MX PRACTICE USGP TRACK 9AM-1PM $20 per bike
GATE OPEN: 8am-10pm - Gates fees $20 Wkn $10 per Day
$10 Wkn Child 6-12 yrs $5 per day
Saturday December 10, 2011 – YAMAHA STATE GP Day 1
Entry Fees: 2 Day Pre Entry $60 – 2 Post Entry $75 Must race both days To qualify for the State MX Championships!!
All racers will be issued a transponder – no additional charge will need to leave CC or DL for Deposit
1 day Entry $40 No membership required
All Races will be 45 minutes
Practice 8am (1 Lap Practice)
Race #1 9am All Seniors +40/Super Supers +50 All Skills
Oldtimers/OTHG
If the younger guns race the other groups, you have to join ama. so this is really for us old foggies. lol.

Does anyone have any idea what the track layout will be? Do they run a similar layout to the SRA or is it the standard USGP course? If its similar to the SRA I may have to do it, that race was a blast!

REM is running that Saturday, so they are going to run some trail sections or something. Should be a great layout as usual.

I expect it to include a lot of the S.R.A. course, sections may be shuffled around a bit, with some of the main track and some trails that you probably didn't even know were there.
I think it should be just as much fun as the S.R.A. race, but with better weather.

I hear ya on that. I know the guy that lays out the tracks is real imaginative. I bet it will be epic, so I'm in. The next day (Sunday) I'll be with the OT's at REM. I'll be in the 50 Am but you can sandbag in the novice class 😉 and we could compare laptimes later 😛

So who is in for this GP? Chuck are you in for sure? I had planned on our GP at Glen Helen being my last race of the year but I'm really leaning towards doing this one. Should be a good time! Marty
