This is not a thread on the merits of paying or not paying points. This determines what value of points the motion will have. Of course it is contingent on the motion passing, if the motion does not pass, the current rule stays in effect.

Basic motion is as follows:
1. Each non South National will be a single event.
2a. Current Class minimums will be in effect. (South members only and on Overall)
or
2b. Flat rate points (from 25 to 35) What the poll is for.
3. Drops would be 4, to reflect the non South Nationals (would not allow any local races to be dropped if you do not attend non south Nationals)
4. Banquet and Picnic would still be droppable events.

This is just a poll, correct? Is there going to be a ballot re: the motion that goes out in the mail ?

This is a poll to see IF people vote to change the current rule how many points should they get.
This is only done so that on the ballot it will say something along the lines of:
Do you want to be given x points for attending nationals or
do you want the rule to remain as is:

Yes, just a poll to form the motion for the ballot.

No one, NO ONE. Not even you didn't understand what the intent of my motion was. Quite a few folks (myself included) didn't see your wording clearly. If at anytime you would like me to write something for you board member type dudes, just ask. 😉
