My name is Ray Valenzuela and I am running for your 2012 President. I have been a member of OTHG since 1995, a past board member, 97 Race Director, 2002 Secretary and was going to be the 2003 president, but needed to resign due to a major injury (3 years recovery time). I am currently employed with a large Financial Institution as the Facilities, Security and Project Manager with some IT background. Before this I had my own telecommunication company and before that I was in the USAF serving our country.
What I can bring to this Position is an open mind, creatively, teambuilding and loyalty.
I have a big task for next year, big shoes to fill and I have my critics.  But the goal is to keeping us in black, retaining old & new members and making sure everyone has a great OTHG experience. As this is what keeps them coming back.

If you should have any questions, please come and talk to me, Just look for the yellow backgrounds with the #909G

Thank you

My name is Ben Paris and I am running for 2012 position of Treasurer. Most of you know me some do not. I have been a member of the OTHG family since 2003. If elected this will be my first board position.  I currently am employed by global giant Siemens. I work for one of the sixteen operating companies under the Siemens umbrella. Our focus is Heating & Air Conditioning, Fire Life Safety, and Security.  I manage two warehouses, one here in Orange County and the other in San Diego. Between the two I am managing about 3 million dollars worth of inventory.

I am a single father of two awesome boys that most of you know. Ben and Cory are my life.

Besides my racing habit I am a scratch bowler, and enjoy most sports, espceially Football and Baseball.

Thanks to all,

Ben Paris

Hello All,

My name is Mike Cosaert I am running for the VP position. I know most of you, and for the ones that I don't here are a few things about me and few things that I would like to do as VP. I'm married to the very beautiful Tara we have two great boys Jake and Kyle. I have been racing with the gang since late 06. I have been an auto technician all of my life. I am currently the shop foreman for Aston Martin Lamborghini of Beverly Hills. In the work place I have always been known as a leader and someone that will speak his mind. If I am elected I would like to continue the great job that John Lombardo and the rest of the board have done over the last couple of years. Here are a few things I would like to do as your VP.

I would like to run with So Cal when ever we can. This help with attendance and cuts the cost that we have to put out.

To continue have a great variety of tracks.

I would like to have one or two double points races.

I would like to try and setup some races with the Valley Chapter ( maybe I5 or Piru ).

Try and improve the membership count. I have some ideas and open for any suggestions.

There are a few of the things that I would like to do. Most of all I would like to hear from all of the members on changes or ideas that you might have. I don't want to bore you anymore at this time. Thanks for reading.

Remember win lose or draw lets go have some fun.

I would like to give Cosaert my full endorsement, for whatever that's worth.
I have had the pleasure to travel with him and his family to several nationals.
Great guy, great kids and a smoke' hot wife.

Hello All,

My Name is Jim Cole and I am interested in running for the position of Statistician for the 2012 season. I have only been with the club since the Ranch race in April of this year so as you can see I am fairly new to the Gang. The Gang’s family like atmosphere has drawn me to compete at every local race including the local GH National since my first race at the Ranch in April.

Here is a little background on myself to hopefully help sway you to place a vote in my direction.
I have been married for 19 years to my best friend; she continues to unconditionally love and support me in all my crazy adventures for some unknown reason. I have two wonderful children, my daughter Amanda is 17 and my Son Anthony 15 who some of you may know from being at the races.

I am a General Contractor by trade and have been for quite some time. I currently serve as an expert witness on the behalf of Homebuilders, General Contractors, Homeowners and Insurance companies. This is not only a job but a passion for me. This passion quite often places me directly in the line of fire from individuals with opposing positions and interest both financially and personally. I run a rather large staff of professional consultants from my office here in Temecula Ca.

I served a number of years as a board member for a local nonprofit youth roller hockey organization in Temecula.  The positions I held were as follows.

President – 2 years
Vice President – 2 years
Player agent – 4 years
Coach – 8 years

I was also able to create the following programs and coordinate the following site improvements to the facility we used at a local city park.

Developed a Middle School hockey program for 8 local Middle Schools - still active today
Developed a High School program for 4 local High Schools – Second season begins this year
Rink improvements included 275K dasherboard replacement project (required attending and participating in city council development, budget and planning meetings)
Coordinated fundraising and donation of a 30k electronic scoreboard system
Coordinated fundraising for state of the art synthetic flooring system – value of 75k

With my diverse background I feel that I could bring something to the table for the 2012 OTHG season.

It is time for me to step up and give something back to this club ............I'd like to throw my hat in there for sec/editer position.(unless somebody else wants to do it). This is a good time to join and to help out the club.  I would do whatever duties it may need on race day.
I have been racing with the club since 1995.
I have to admit I have missed about 10 races.

The club has been very important in my and my wife Su's life.  She has been a score keeper since 2010 and she supports my racing and the club very much.

I am confident that I can handle the secretary work. Maybe we can do a quarterly newsletter and get that out to new and past members( members who do not normally read our website).
I am also willing to help out towards marketing the club and filling the gates. I believe
filling the gates is the most important thing that a racing club needs to run a safe and orderly race.
I would be happy to continue announcing whenever it is needed (unless somebody else wants to do it).
The past board members have taken the club through difficult times with expansion to our memberships and have offered all of us the best of racing motocross experiences. They have got us where we are today.  I would like to see our club to continue the growth trend on their upward statistics.
I have known the guys who are currently running for the board positions and I respect them.  I would like to become part of this team.

thank you, Chris Cumbo

Thank you again,

Big Thanks to our 2011 board.
This has been a great year and I know how hard you guys work with little to no thanks.
Their will always be knuckleheads out there making noise, loosing sight about what we are all about.
All I can say is thank you and maybe buy you a beer sometime.

Hey Frank,
It's nice to see you getting involved again. And thanks for the kind words on the other thread.
I can't wait to line up with you and Bruce on the 125's. Trash talk will be a must, laughter and good times will be a given.
Hey Larz,
I'm hoping this ends up a dream team, but the only way that is going to happen is with the support and involvement of all the members.
We are all working towards the same goal, and if everyone gets involved and helps out just a bit, we can make good things happen. Remember "Many hands make for light work" Like I said before, I was guilty of sitting on the sidelines, now it's time for me to get in the game.
I would also like to remind every member, that everyone of us, no matter if we like it or not, are ambassadors of the club, what we say and do reflects on the entire membership.
Looking forward to 2012.
Thanks Pete

Easy Larz, that's a lot of pressure to put on a new board.

They should be fine just doing what needs to be done.
