Rick's Ouch! Is an arm supposed to bend this way?

Rick broke both bones in his arm right above his wrist.  The smaller bone which goes to the thumb is, to quote the doctor, "shattered into tiny pieces and needs pins/surgery to repair".  Rick is already trying to figure out how he can still race in the upcoming Nationals and how to keep his hold on the #1 plate!  [which just proves, you can medicate the determined, but you can't deter the determined]
