just want to say now that the year is coming to an end and our race season is ending as well.
its been a challenging year for me ...i feel fortunate for being able to still show up to the races,,and blessed to hang out with so many wonderful people ,,,great friends and families..awesome nationals..and awesome people from the other chapters as well.lucky to create so many lifelong memories for my son,,OTHG ROCKS,,,.
however i am truly sad to have seen so many injuries and loss of life..its really affected me..and taken a toll as well..
at the end of the day we all want to be safe and comehome to our lovedones and families,,and our jobs,,,
i look forward to another great year with the gang and i hope we can all support the club that we love and all be able to share our input and see the club grow in these hard economic times..
i hope we will all remember those who we lost and care for those who have been injured..
so for me its the people and the good times that matter the MOST!!!!!! oh and the trophies...lol!!!
i hope that those who were thinking of not racing and those who were injured,,come out and race again or hang out and support the club...
some of the things i do care about are.
1.trying a small 3 race series..honoring top 3-5 in each class with special series awards..
2.getting more people involved at the meetings, perhaps alternating 1 south and 1 north for the 818 and 805 ers!!!
3.maybe starting a small injured riders fund..even if its sending out a card..and a mx magazine or flowers..showing we care.
or just posting the injured riders phone# so we can all call and wish them well..as we all know ,not all members use the message board.
4.maybe having a meeting at the track ??
5.getting a mixture and variety in the award and trophy dept.

Steve I think you should get a special Iron Man award for the most motivated guy out there for sure. Thats a lot of driving/miles.

Hell maybe old chuckie found his Mojo again and is back to par circa the Oatfield and/or where the name all started "CASE IT". But also he has been racing a lot with OT's. Chucky - nice job bringing up your speed and cornering skills. Old Chuck is gonna be knocking on the door soon. ITs going to be a great 2010 racing year. IT should be better than this year at least personally. I figured I got 5 races in this year. 2-LACR's, Hangtown, Tulare and GH National....that was it for the year. Wow and it just flew by. So with only a torn rotator early this year and the deep bruised hip when I landed on that dude that cut in front of me at our first LACR race of the year. Never mind I have let go of that already????
Here's to 2010. See you gents at the Banquet in Feb.???

I am thinking about going to the banquet this yr, landed on a awesome job, huge hospital over 300 tradesmen on the job site.. Hell. I might even swing over to Disneyland!!!! yea!!!!! 😮 ;D 😀 😉 🙂

Feels good to be free from broken bones.. Starting to feel them after 44yrs,, Broke a lot bones between 1 yrs old and 10, and so on!!!
