Although I chose to not throw a leg over a bike this weekend, I have to say I still enjoyed myself immensely.  It was great to see some old friends, from both the South and visiting chapters.  From what I could tell, the track looked like a blast -- typical Glen Helen -- fast, rougher as time goes on, and a track that requires some endurance to hang onto at speed.  From my vantage point, it looked like the event went well -- starting and completing on time.  As usual, some good competition during the motos, good food, good raffle, good song & drink at the Oasis = GOOD TIMES!  Although I'm not sure if I'll make next year's national, I do hope I get a chance to bump into those attending Anaheim 1 SX, the MXoN in Colorado next year, or other possible events.  Should you ever happen to be in San Antonio in the near future, please drop by.  Since there's too many people to name (and you know who you are), thanks again for a great time, keep in touch, and congrats to the 2009 board, scorekeepers, volunteers, sponsors, etc., who made this another memorable event!

Hey Shaun, I forgot to say thanks for showing me the pit board.  I saw you out there along with everyone else, especially Jim Wentz with the crutches waiving in the air (next time, throw them at the guys behind me!  :D).  Shaun when you held up the "2 sec" sign, I was really hoping that meant that the moto was over in two seconds!  :-[  ;D

Jeff that was Me (Marc) I was trying to imply a 2 sec gap so you knew that guy was right behind you a tthe time....you had a consistent 3 sec gap but not at that point.

Hey Jeff no problem. I hope my excitement rubbed off.  I know you saw my jumping up and down waving my tshirt.  It was great to see your A game on Sunday (much better than Sat. - I am sure you agree).  You just came up a bit short thats all.  Great effort!
