Being a guy I don't usually like to ask for directions. Your chain however would be a lot happier if when you remove it that it goes back on in the same direction that it came off and has worn into. Engineering types would call it not creating stress risers. So here is the trick. When you remove your chain pull it straight off the back without turning it or your body. Let it hang from the half way point in your hand and take note of any factory markings such as  "DID" or "Japan" etc, ect. At the half way link facing you. Also note if it the marking is upside down or not. Then when it is time to put the chain back on simply hang the chain in half and orient it the same manner. If there isn't any marks you can run a small zip tie through the half way link facing you. When you get a new chain simply put it on the first time with the manufacturing stamp upright and facing you.
