During OTHG National events, If a rider moves up in age class but stays in the same skill level and
has ridden at least 2 races within the calendar year, the rider is not
required to reclassify(eval)under the new age class.
(There is more listed on the rules but you won't be effecting the points since you did not race other nationals this year.)

So I am 58 now even though there is not a 58 beginner class which I keep seeing has a typo? If I decide to move myself to 58 in office can I do it at the national even if I’m signed up under beginner? I don’t think I can run that speed but I’m kind of thinking about changing not sure yet?

58 novice is no worries Larz. It’s all about the start and then chill while navigating the track. You’ll have fun. I don’t know anything about the national rules, regarding that question.
