I heard it is a great track!  Plus we do get 2 drops.  I missed you at the track yesterday, how did it go?

It's an awesome track but not for a local Southern California OTHG club race but that's just my opinion.  I don't get paid to travel and I don't race for free so I would never schedule something in central California to accommodate the Southern California membership

Gary, there are a couple of reasons that this race was scheduled.

1) It is a very good track that is on the same level as the best tracks in So. California.  In fact the dirt is extremely good.  Very tacky which leads to high traction!!!!!  If you have never rode this track, do yourself a favor and do so.

2) The Valley chapter supports us by traveling to Cal City MX twice each year; they schedule that as a local race.  We try to support each others chapters by racing with them a couple times a year.

While you may not do the Nationals, this chapter is bigger than a local club.  We are part of something bigger than So Cal.  While I agree it is a bit of a drive (3.5 hrs for me), I'm happy to support the club, the racing and the friends I have made and continue to do so.  Please join us at DT1 Gary.  Camping is free, the track is awesome and the racing will be very good.

Glen Helen was CRAZY windy, especially in the second moto, but it was still a great day with friends doing moto. Great day (even though the inside of my van looks like a set from the movie The Mummy haha).

Gary, keep it positive man. Tulare is a great track and they support moto. Only $5 to get in the gate and camping is free. Pala or Cahuilla are 2 hours from my house and Tulare is like 3...so not too big of difference.

I understand cost, but I bet there are people that are willing to carpool to share costs. And if you can't make it then use it a drop.  🙂
