It's no secret that we live and race in climates that, at times are extremely hot.  It is extremely important to your physical as well as mental health that you start hydrating days before you are going to be exposed to extreme heat.  Sunday's temp in Lancaster is expected to be over 100!  In order to avoid dehydration issues, which can lead to heat cramps, heat exhaustion and heat stroke, start drinking water on Wednesday and continue through the weekend.

Also, bring some Gatorade on Sunday to help replenish electrolytes that will be lost during your race.  Also, on the day of the race, avoid coffee and all the energy drinks.  Those dehydrate you and are not good when trying to stay hydrated.  Remember, if you have a EZ UP, Sunday would be a great time for it to be set up!  Hope that helps, see everyone on Sunday.

Pedialite is way better than gatorade. Gatorade contains too much sugar. If you decide to use gatorade mix it half/half with water to help dilute the sugar.

Then stop for a beer at the VFW afterwards.
Karaoke starts early at 8 pm.
Shoot some pool.
Have a refreshing Shantee. That's 1/2 beer and 7 up.
Ahhh that's good after a day in the sun.
