Practice next weekend prep for Sunrise race?
For many of us Cahuilla is a lot closer and has similar dirt to Sunrise and would be a great prep for the next race.

Thinking Saturday or Sunday if any more OTHG folks are interested

I say move the race to Cahuilla main, Doug Goodmen said his company would help sponsor the race and it's one of the best tracks we have 🙂

And one other thing I can't understand, is why we will drive an extra half hour past Comp Edge to go to a track that's not even open for us to practice on. why Can't we race Comp?

I enjoy the variety of racing at the different tracks. For the longer drives I do like to make a weekend out of it and camp. For the longer drives I try to practice the week before at a track that has similar dirt.

How does the club make out by him advertising his company?

To answer all questions asked in this forum:
1) Cahuilla was contacted and asked about scheduling a race there.  They said the only track they would rent us is the vet track!  They said the main track was not an option due to low rider turn out.
2) turn outs have been low in the past due to the distance for the majority of club members.
3)  We have two races scheduled at Comp and two at Sunrise.

If there are any other questions, please post up.  Thanks.

Remember we Pick the race tracks every year that we race on it's not the track owners. I go to Sunrise on Saturdays it is always prepped great and it's never gets crazy crowded I don't have any tracks in Vegas  😮

I like Sunrise, even though I knocked myself out there once it's still a great track. Cahuilla is fun but 3 hours from my house without traffic. I'm sure the club is going to give us a great race no matter what.

Way to be positive Blake  🙂

The only tracks that are within an hour for me is perris and Elsinore.  The rest are almost 2-3 hour drives.
