I wanted to remind everyone again about the qualifications for a National. Riders must have two (2) races in the last 12 months or four (4) races in the last 24 months in order to be qualified to race the national. This goes for any and all of the Nationals including the Bay national next weekend. This is highlighted in the registration form as well and we validate each of those before racing starts.

For new racers to the club, this also includes you. These two races are often your eval races since you require two evals in order to be placed in a class. Although there is an exception to the evals for Expert and Masters rides, each new member must still race the qualifying number of races. There is no exception to this rule.

Now with with all that said, if you do not meet the qualification to race, you still can race the Support class. You just will not be able to race with your age and skill group. I have pointed a few recent evals this way for the national already, but wanted to be sure everyone understood this. If you are not qualified to race the national with your class, you can still race the national in the support class. The support class is only broken up by skill level (beginner, Novice, Intermediate, Expert) and there is one race with two motos. These classes are more general classes for all ages (teen to vet), so the definition of an novice (or whatever) has a lot of variation.

Also just a quick reminder to everyone racing the national next weekend. Be sure to get your correct backgrounds and number colors for the National. There is only a work week left before practice starts on Friday and I don't want to see any being docked laps for the wrong backgrounds.

Already looking like a great turnout with plenty of good sized gates!
