This week Glen Helen Raceway started moving the Starting Gate 65ft closer to the first turn. It will stay that way from now on. They were dumping huge loads of dirt all day yesterday in that area about 65 yards in front of the start.

I found this reply on another forum.

We have to make room for a 2 story structure for the GP's the next two years and for the MXoN in 2017 and the cost of moving it up 65' versus moving power poles and Edison wires and everything else was not cost effective. You will all love it.

We will be there this Thursday afternoon for practice arriving 1-2pm and staying till closing.

I'd like to but maybe it's too much riding 3 or 4 days in a row and my wife has some commitments Friday morning.
So we leave Friday early afternoon.
We hope to make the dinner with some corn (lol).
