I wonder if the out come of his injury would have been prevented if he was wearing a neck brace.
Arnie, The Peacock family is very sorry to hear of your injury, but so very Happy to hear you are positively pulling through this incredibly trying injury. Sending Prayers and Strength to you and your family. The family of C fracture injury survivors (Vertebral Fractures w/o SCI) is an incredibly lucky bunch and takes some serious soul searching to make the decision to ride/race again. Which ever way you and your family go you have our prayers and best wishes. Stay positive through the healing process, it can be a tough road, but it does end. From what I've heard about how his crash happened, it sounds very much similar to how Frankie crashed earlier this year ... which was a straight down impact. The neck braces provide for side to side protection not straight on impact. Someone who saw the crash might know more about what actually happened.
