Hey Gang,
I rode Starwest today. I really feel the Race Director should check out the track. For Expert, Interm, Fast Novice the track may be great but for the slower novice, and beginner riders, the track presents many jumps with no room for error and no flow for the riders not jumping (And there will be riders not jumping). Of course this is my opinion. I would just like to bring this to the attention of the Race Director.
Thanks,
Wes

As much as I hate to admit it, I was happy my fork seals went out today and my riding day ending early. Track layout wasn't bad but the jumps are just too steep 😮 (front and backsides). Just not very forgiving if you make any mistakes at all (As Wes said - just my opinion) and I just don't want to see anyone get hurt!! myself included. I talked to Jeff Hamblin and Pete Van Aalst tonight and they said they were going to talk to John Lombardo this week and see if some changes could be made to make some of the jumps more rollable without making full tilt changes just for us slower guys - The track must be a blast to ride when you can clear everything - Again - not looking to take the challenge away from the more skilled riders just looking to keep us slower guys from breaking our necks.
Thanks for all you guys do!!
Looking forward to next weekend - see you at the track ;D
Thanks for the heads up. See you at AV 2012 😉 You jumper dudes have fun.

Well it is Dean Wilson's favorite track at the moment so I am not surprised its a bit gnarly. Meegan (my gf) was planning on doing her first race ever there so hopefully it gets tamed down a bit. I am heading out there tomorrow morning (mon) to check it out.
oh well see u in 2012.............................

If you have been teaching Meegan how to ride on the track, I'm sure she will do very well!!! 😉 😀
i am pretty sure they will tame it down on weds when they are closed, i forgot tomorrow(mon) is pro day and they make the track harder than it was this weekend. friday is their first free friday night racing and there are lots of beg classes for kids and teens. there are also vet nov and inter classes. you just have to pay the $10 gate fee to race. no memberships! I think i am headed there friday morning now. Anyone else want to join?
