Jim is sore but functioning- parts still work. CT scan indictated a few painful but minor fractures to non structural lumbar spine and one minor crack on his hip. Don't know if he is out tonight or staying for the hospital food.
Tracy
to his body or dinner
Add Cracked ribs and a hemothorax to the injuries. He is staying overnight at Arrowhead for observation. Jim is going to be one sore dude for awhile as he heals up. He did coment to me that he thinks he won "crash of the weekend"
What happened and where? Hop he heals up quick.
was right behind him coming down the last hill. He got passed for the lead going up and was on the gas to make the pass back going down, they were watering the lap before and continued for the next 2 1/2 minutes. By the time we came around again he stood no chance on the line we were both taking. Once he slid out of his line he hit some kickers about 1/2 way down, started swapping, we were taking the left side down, when he finished his freestyle moves he was at the bottom right corner and his bike was middle bottom. I went back to see him and he was one big bruise! Blood and dirt in his mouth, head was cut, scrapes and bruises to chest and back, he was banged up good. He couldnt remember what happend ( a good thing) and was in pretty good spirits considering. Get well soon Jim! You were riding the wheels off that bike.
Just talked to Jim- he was released from Arrowhead today and is at home recouperating. no plaster, no surgery.
Amazing!!!! Good news Jim!!!!
Yes, good news. I was too far back to see it but when I came down the hill it looked like he was getting good care. Look forward to having Jim on the gate again soon.

Holy Smokes, I thought it was much worse as I came down the hill, glad to see I was wrong.
Recover soon my friend.
I stopped by the hospital on my way home from work about 5:45. They checked his name, said he was in room 3315. When I got to the room there was an Asian lady sitting in the bed, definitely not Jim Roth. I saw a nurse and she said Jim left the hospital at about 3:30.
Glad to hear...I'm sure the first few nights will be tough. Hope you own a recliner ;D
Let us know how your doing, when your up to it.
Take care,
Karen
