I have a video of that race....DeCoster, Robert and Bickers on CZs...Hallman and Ake Jonsson were on Huskys back then.....I think around '68 or '69..................

Sorry to say, I doubt it will ever happen. The people who live back in that canyon don't tolerate ANY noise. Very unreasonable folks. Add to that the neighborhood that has been built since the 80's to the North of the park and I doubt you will get enough buy in to accomplish it. My son ran cross country there and the list of rules we needed to comply with to hold the event was rediculous. And we still got hassled.

Might pull one off but I doubt a second. My cousin was on the Simi police force in the seventies. We used to ride there. 8)

you must remember Valley CYcle Park, aka Muntz, then. Good times. My cousin lived off Tapo up in the Texas tract. We used to go over behind the school on Tapo and ride in the walnut groves. There was a guy who was there all the time on a sweet CZ.

His name is Vinny he is in the prospectors mc no word on it yet i am going to post the question on the D37 web site if it happens it would be in December

thanks JP for showing that old news clip. I rode 4 classes that year, blew that little 100 bultaco up, crashed hard in the 125's, got stuffed into a hay bail in the 250's by John Desoto, but made up for it in the 500's. yep, I was sportn' a mullet
