Ok guys, do we keep or dump the membership cards for 2010? I tried to continue with traditions and provide membership cards in 2009, but it's pretty apparent that the usefulness of the cards has long past. If you guys still want them, and assuming I get re-elected, I will be happy to make them for you. ...But if people don't really use them or care about them anymore, then it's not worth the effort. You guys decide on what you want...
Thanks,
Jeff
In other words..................nope........don't need them....................just a waste of time and money..............................................
...Of course, this is only a poll. Any changes are subject to an official motion and vote at one of our OTHG monthly meetings...
There...don't want to get in trouble again. 😮
Jeff no one ever asks to see one when going to sign up!! kind of a waist of money

True. For the record, they don't cost all that much since we do them ourselves, they just take a lot of effort. I printed out the sheets and then used a paper cutter to separate/trim the individual cards (5 per sheet). After that, Karen helped me fill them out and laminate them. It's not all that bad if we're going to use them...but the question is, are we?

Hey if I get run over by a bus 😮 they'll know I'm a card carrying member. ;D

Please vote on this if you haven't done so already. Thanks!
Jeff
Since we are past the South National now, I'd like to bring this up at the meeting and hopefully get an official vote on it. If you haven't voted on this poll yet, please do so. Thanks,
Jeff
Hey Jeff, wouldn't a OTHG mebership card get you a discount in lieu of an AARP card, at say Denny's or Norm's ;D

Thanks to everyone who participated. 8) The poll is now closed.

As Bob will probably mention in the meeting notes, we will discontinue the membership cards for 2010.
I did want to add that I saw a few sad faces out there and heard something like "the end of an era." Change is never easy as we move forward. I thought about this on the way home and if you really have your heart set on having a membership card then I will make one for you on special request. 🙂 Just let me know (email is best) and I will make you one next year. Making a handful of cards is no problem compared to making a couple hundred.

Hey Jeff,
With the number of riders we have now we know everyone that shows up, but when the economy picks back up and riders come out of the wood works we will need them again.. So don't think of this as the end of a era just more of a break in the middle of one.

I have never used mine.... I am not even sure where it is!!!
it's probably in that box that is at every sign up...with the other 150 that have never been picked up
