Hi there,

My name is Wes Zuber and a friend of Tim's. I just wanted to update everyone on Tim's operation. Dianne tells me that Loma Linda removed the lung lining as that had a hematoma and also removed a very small piece of the lower lung. His lung is now starting or has inflated I believe. He is doing ok but as we can all imagine it is a very invasive operation involving opening his chest. He is recovering though and Dianne and Loma Linda are on top of it. All of this is third hand by me through Dianne so if I got a detail wrong here or there then I apologize. Dianne tells me that he cannot really handle visitors or phone calls right now but that in a few days he would be better suited for it. I will post any news I hear tomorrow or the next day.

I wanted to add that Loma Linda sees nothing at all wrong with his heart, which they have been monitoring for days now. Not sure what the guy in Holister was thinking. At Holister they actually had Tim scheduled for a pacemaker the next day!

Thank god that he does no require a heart monitor. He is in such good shape, that it was hard to imagine that someone like this could need a pace maker...
Thank you for the updates. We are all praying for Tim's quick recovery. That was a very invasive surgery.
Hang tough Tim.

Just talked with Dianne and got an update. Tim is recovering and has three chest tubes currently. They are pulling two out soon and the other in a couple of days. He can sit in one position where there isn't any pain which is huge (many here know what I mean). He has an infection in his lungs and so has a pick (pic?) line and getting antibiotics delivered that way. So he is feeling somewhat better and Dianne said he cracked a smile for the first time in a while. So that has to mean something good is happening, right?. She is hopeful that Tim will be kicked out of there by Saturday. I sure hope that's the case.

Dianne tells me this operation is painful since they have to cut some muscles surrounding the lungs in order to work on the lungs in the first place. So every breath activates these muscles and of course coughing.. (I don't want to think about it!).

Hey Jim, (yzjim3g) good to hear from you buddy! Hope things are well.

Good to hear from you to Bruce!

Tim tells me he was leading you.. way ahead.. when it happened. Don't know how hard he hit his head, but just sayin..

Seriously though, I hate to see such a good guy get knocked so hard. I think he should be looking much better in a week or so..

This was Tim's year with the gang for the # 1 plate and the nationals plate, he was the one we were all trying to catch.
And yes I was right behind him when he went down I almost hit him along with the rest of the pack.
He is nicest guy along with his family. I still don't believe it happened 🙁
