I wanted to take a moment to THANK the South Chapter for a great weekend, but wanted to especially single out one member in particular........Jeff Roehm.  The course on Saturday was very intimidating to me, having never seen a course like that before with all the huge hills. (It was an Mx track on steroids)  😮  Adding insult to my nervousness of racing a 125 for the first time, Jeff took time away from his duties and racing, to insure that I was comfortable with what I was doing. He spent the entire weekend picking me up when I went down, showing me the proper lines to take, checking in on me when he could, and just in general building my confidence.  Jeff made my weekend for sure, and in the end, I didn't embarrass myself too bad racing the women's support.  Sorry if I held up a gate or two being last off the track, but next year I'll be much better and more confident from what I learned from Jeff.  You're First Rate in my book Jeff!!!! ;D

That was me talking to you and your husband on Friday night in the dark when the Menace boys pulled in.  Your Husband and I raced in the same class last year.  Do you remember?  Great job!  Great to meet you as well!

I had forgotten about that discussion of the cruise and Yes of course you do remember me.  Another motocross friend out of many that I have made on these long national weekends.  I hope we cross paths again soon.  One never knows what the future holds.  Glad you all made it home safe back up to the great white north.  Once again great job out there riding.  We were standing there just before you go over the two humps back on the start straight away rooting you on.  Take care....

Val,
Glad to help but after that first practice I thought for sure you would not go out again. I was sitting on the starting gate for my last moto on Sunday and saw your get off coming down Yamaha hill and thought about how much courage you had to make it to the gate for every race and practice, when so many would have given up.
You and Joey should get some kind of determination award for making the trip to one of the toughest tracks in the country just 6 weeks after his back surgery and your first time on that bike. I didn't think of it then but you could raise the forks in the clamps and lower the rear suspension some and you might be more comfortable. I do that on my 125 for some friends that ride it and it helps them alot by bring the whole bike closer to the ground so it doesn't feel like they will fall over every time they need to stop.
See you soon.

Jeff after what Joey went through the 6 weeks before, there was No Way I was going to give up, even after all those soil samples that I took.  You definitely made things a whole lot easier for me, and after that first practice, the butterflies seemed to go away.  I was more worried about Joey, but with everyone keeping an eye out for him and him keeping his promise and just riding, it was all good.  I'll show Joey your suggestions for lowering things, and see if that helps.........I'm sure it will.  Again THANKS for everything.
