I do remember you saying you were retired I thought you meant from the board. Next years a long ways off you'll miss it.

WTF is right, I didn't hear you say that Jimmy?

Jimmy unless your having money problems There is
NOWAY!!! you can quit this club.. You have become a corner
stone and a  elder statesman of this club... Your have had a major impact
on how this club has tranformed from a mere yearly members of 100 to helping
it grow too where it is today, You've been there threw thick and thin..
We all have consider quitting, But you don't quit when there's still a job to do.

But if you deside to quit, You and your family will be missed, You are a much loved
and cared for person in this club...Please reconsider.. Plus I might be getting bumped up into your
class we're the last of the 2 strokes.. 🙂

No worries Carl, I'll still be racing, just not with the OTHG.

After 17 years, 180 meetings and over 350 races, I just came to the realization that what I think is important in the club, others did not and what I thought was not important, others thought were of great importance.

I may still come to the meetings, it should be a great bargin for my entertainment dollar.

You never know I may come back and run for President some day when the winds blow in another direction.  😉

Funny, that's what I think about my ex-wife...except it only took me five years and she wasn't much of a bargan.

Chuckster - I have made more motions for change in this club than everyone else combined, so please refrain from implying that I'm not for change.

I don't think he was calling you an optimist...

I think you have been trying to adjust the sails for so long but you have gotten so frustrated with the way the wind is blowing you want to abandon ship.

maybe you can find some inspiration in Tommy Pearl's way of thinking...quote "I'll be back as soon as I can with no hard feelings and the same determination I always have....you should be proud of the way you represented the South chapter."

Jimmy, it's like being on a Greyhound "leave the driving to us" you can only be sure of the destination by taking the journey.

Jimmy,

I am truly sorry that you have become so frustrated with the club that you have chosen to stop racing.

I have enjoyed our internet sparring and respect you a great deal.

I was looking forward to getting fast enough to race with you it was a personal goal of mine for next year.

I understand your frustration and I can only say that I believe that next year will be a good year for the club and
that the rules will be enforced. I only wish you would stick around to see it.

Take Care

I'll be around, not to worry.

Just don't want to get in the way of "forward thinkers" of the club.  😉

And I'll be on here unless they throw me off..................

Jimmy,
Take a break from the board, relax & have some fun racing.
No offense to anyone, but I don't really care about another $ 13 trophy. I go racing to have fun and see my friends, plain and simple. And that includes you.
I hope you keep coming to the races, it won't be the same without you.
Pete
