From what I've heard he has not had surgery as of yet, and possible being moved tomorrow to another hospital.
Another one that hits to close to home. To much of this going on in the South Chapter this year. Sending prayers your way and wishing you a speedy recovery Arnie.
Sorry to hear about your unfortunate accident. Best of luck on your healing process and hope to see back out on the track soon.
This really sucks. Arnie heal up and get back out there.
Just out of curiosity was he wearing a neck brace?

I believe Arnie is not a fan of the neck brace, nor a chest protector. We have several riders that do not wear current safety technology. It's hard to say if it would have helped, but any precautionary measures we can take to diminish or avoid injuries like these are in our own, and everyone else's, best interest. Just an opinion....

What Keith said get well brother 😉
No Arnie wasn't wearing a neck brace. He said the doctor told him that it wouldn't have helped since he pogo sticked into the ground but maybe yes maybe not. He doesn't want a big deal made but heres the latest update. Hes having 2 screws put in his C-1 Thursday and the surgery is 3.5 hours and if everything goes well he can come home Friday. And hes done for the year from racing.
Thanks for the Updates Phil.
A photo of Arnie a couple years ago at Hollister .

Best of luck on the recovery Arnie........no doubt you will be 100% in no time.

Or I can try this...
Arnie,s surgery went well he had screws put in his C-1 to fix the cracks. He couldn't talk for a few hours but I just spoke to him and he finally got some liquid and soup down. He stated after a conversation with his wife that because the injury was significant he has decided to retire from motocross racing. He will be packing up and headed home tomorrow hoping he can make it home without his neck bothering him too much. thanks.
